I hope this blog post finds you well! With spring in full swing, I can't help but get excited for all the summer adventures we have at our fingertips here in the Pacific Northwest. As you may know, I love surfing, hiking and fly fishing, and I've been doing a lot of research on some new places to explore. 
But honestly, I'm just excited to spend time outside. There's nothing better than breathing in fresh air and feeling the sun on your face after a long, rainy winter.

MARKET UPDATE
I'm going to keep it short and sweet this month. Rates are still hovering around 6.5%, but the buyer activity is picking up. I'm beginning to see multiple offers on listings and even some over asking. Why, you might ask? Even though rates are 6.5%? Yep, and here's why. Historically, rates are actually pretty normal. When my wife and I bought our home in 2017 we had a 5% interest rate. Buyers are over the initial sticker shock of the drastic rate increase we saw toward the end of last year, and we're probably not going to see 2.5% again… at least not for a very long time. So, couple that with limited inventory and what do you get? Competition. And That's exactly what we expect to see this summer. So if you or someone you know is planning on buying a home this year, It's important to talk to a professional who can align your goals with the current market.
